WASHINGTON—U.S. Senator Mitt Romney (R-UT) has announced changes to his communications staff. The new team members bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles.

Paige Waltz has been appointed as the new Communications Director. She has been part of Senator Romney's communications team since he took office in 2019, starting as the digital director and most recently serving as the deputy communications director. Waltz has an impressive background, having previously served as the communications director of the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies for the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies and as a communications aide to House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI). She holds a B.S. from Virginia Tech and an MPA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Arielle Mueller has been named as the Deputy Communications Director. Mueller previously served as Senator Romney's press secretary and was also on the executive board for the Senate Press Secretaries Association. Prior to joining Senator Romney's office, she worked in the communications shop for U.S. Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL). Mueller brings international experience, having lived in Spain where she received a master's degree in education from the Universidad de Alcalá and worked as a teaching assistant in a Madrid public school. She holds a B.A. in History and Spanish from Hillsdale College in Michigan.

Dilan Maxfield has taken on the role of Press Secretary and Digital Director. A native of Utah, Maxfield holds a B.A. in communications from Brigham Young University and is currently pursuing an MBA at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

These staff changes demonstrate Senator Romney's commitment to effective communication and his dedication to serving the people of Utah. With their vast experience and diverse backgrounds, Paige Waltz, Arielle Mueller, and Dilan Maxfield are poised to enhance Senator Romney's communications efforts and ensure that the needs and concerns of Utahns are effectively addressed.
