Utah Valley women’s basketball head coach Dan Nielson announced on Apr. 7 the signing of Arizona prep player Heather Stedman for the team’s 2026-27 roster.

The addition of Stedman is seen as a boost to the Wolverines’ lineup, as she brings both athletic skill and experience from her high school and club career.

“We are thrilled to be adding Heather to the program!” said Nielson. “Her length and shooting will help us immediately. Her work ethic on the court and who she is off the court are exactly what we are looking for in recruits. We can’t wait for our fans to see her on the court next year!”

Stedman comes to Utah Valley after a successful high school career at Pinnacle High School in Arizona, where her scoring improved each season. She was named First-Team All-Region as a freshman and sophomore, then earned Desert Valley Region Player of the Year honors as a junior. After Pinnacle, she played at PHH Prep in Phoenix, helping lead her team—the Fire Frogs—to a 17-7 record.

In addition to her high school achievements, Stedman played club basketball with Jason Kidd Select, Arizona Elite, and Southwest Premier. Her family also has collegiate basketball experience; her older sister Ally played at Pepperdine, Miami, and Central Florida.

The program expects that Stedman’s skills will make an immediate impact when she joins the team next season.
