Utah Valley will begin the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament as the No. 4 seed on May 5, taking on the Southern Utah Thunderbirds in Stephenville, Texas.

The outcome of this game will determine Utah Valley’s next opponent. A win would advance the Wolverines to play top-seeded California Baptist Lancers, while a loss would put them against the loser of Tarleton State versus either UT Arlington or Utah Tech. All tournament games are scheduled for live streaming on ESPN+, with statistics available at GoUVU.com/stats and further information at WACSports.com.

In their last regular season series, Utah Valley defeated Southern Utah two games to one in Cedar City. Britney Moreno made program history by becoming the first Wolverine to hit for the cycle against a Division I opponent and extended her record with an eighth triple this season. For her performance, Moreno was named WAC Player of the Week after going 10-for-17 with two home runs, two triples, one double, five RBIs and eight runs over four games last week.

Amber Rodriguez closed out that series with a perfect hitting day and now has four multi-hit games in her last five starts. Tatum Hall enters postseason play riding both an 18-game reached-base streak and a nine-game hitting streak—career highs—and is approaching UVU’s single-season RBI record.

Utah Valley set a new program record by placing six athletes on All-WAC teams this year: Moreno and Hall were selected for first team honors; Ry Binne, Lily Riley, and Rodriguez made second team; Angelique Mann joined Moreno on the All-Defensive team. Additionally, Moreno became UVU’s first-ever WAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year.

Nationally ranked in several categories entering tournament week—including batting average (.343), doubles per game (1.84), hits (465), and sacrifice flies (24)—the Wolverines have three players with more than 60 hits each: Moreno (72), Rodriguez (61), and Hall (60). Three current players have previously been named to All-Tournament teams: Mann (2024), Moreno (2024), and Payge Armendariz (2025).

With at least two guaranteed tournament games ahead, Angelique Mann will become just the eighth Wolverine to reach 200 career appearances Wednesday; Britney Moreno is set to follow Thursday.
