Utah Valley will start its run in the 2026 Air Force Reserve Western Athletic Conference Basketball Tournament on Mar. 10, facing either UT Arlington or Southern Utah in the semifinal round at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
The Wolverines enter the tournament as the top seed after finishing the regular season with a 24-7 overall record and a 14-4 mark in conference play. Their performance earned them an outright Western Athletic Conference regular-season championship and a direct bye into Friday’s semifinal game, which is scheduled for 6 p.m. Mountain Time. The game will be available via live stream on ESPN+ and broadcast on the Wolverine Sports Network.
Utah Valley is seeking its first WAC Tournament title in program history after reaching the championship game for the first time last season but falling short against Grand Canyon. The team has won six consecutive games leading up to this week’s tournament.
Redshirt sophomore forward Jackson Holcombe leads Utah Valley with averages of 15.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, along with a team-high 71 steals and eight double-doubles this season. Redshirt junior guard Trevan Leonhardt contributes 12.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per contest, making him the only player nationally to average at least 12 points, six assists, five rebounds, and two steals per game this year.
Other key contributors include Tyler Hendricks (11.8 points per game) and Isaac Davis (11.2 points per game). The Wolverines are among national leaders in several categories such as assists per game (18.9), steals per game (9.6), blocks per game (5.6), and field-goal percentage (50.5).
UT Arlington enters Thursday’s quarterfinal as the No. 4 seed with a record of 17-13 overall and a .500 mark in conference play, while Southern Utah holds the No. 5 seed at 10-21 overall.
If Utah Valley wins Friday night’s semifinal matchup, they will advance to Saturday’s WAC Tournament championship game for another chance at securing an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
