Utah Valley second baseman Tatum Hall was named Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Player of the Week for the game week ending April 5, according to a league press release issued on Apr. 6.
Hall, who is from Spanish Fork, Utah, delivered an impressive performance in four games last week. She recorded 10 hits in 14 at-bats, including two home runs and four doubles. Hall also drove in 14 runs and scored seven times. Notably, she had 13 RBIs across the first three games of the week, which marks the most RBIs in any three-game span in program history. Her statistics—four doubles, ten hits, fourteen RBIs and twenty total bases—were national bests over that period.
With thirteen regular season games remaining, Hall is on track for one of the strongest offensive seasons by a left-handed batter in Utah Valley program history. She has hit nine home runs this season—the most by a left-handed batter since Utah Valley joined Division I full status in 2010—and is five RBIs away from setting a new record for left-handed batters (the current record is forty-five). Additionally, her .827 slugging percentage could surpass Brittney Vansway’s overall single-season record of .760 set in 2017.
Hall and her teammates are scheduled to play against BYU Cougars on Tuesday in Provo. The game will begin at 6 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
