Utah Valley lost to the Nevada Wolf Pack, 10-2 in five innings, on March 23 as Tatum Hall hit a home run for the third time in four games.

The game saw strong offensive performances from both teams early on. Hannah Di Genova of Nevada hit her Mountain West-leading 13th home run of the season, while Madison Clark came close to hitting for the cycle and raised her batting average above .500.

Nevada started quickly with solo home runs from Clark and Di Genova in the first inning. Utah Valley responded when Hall launched a two-run homer over the left field fence. The Wolverines put more runners on base that inning but were unable to score further.

Nevada regained control with four runs in the second inning and extended their lead into run-rule territory by scoring another four runs in the fourth. Utah Valley’s best chance outside of their first-inning rally came in the second when they loaded the bases for Hall, who lined out to center field to end the threat.

Ruby Anderson provided relief pitching for Utah Valley, striking out three batters over one and two-thirds innings and retiring Nevada’s last four hitters consecutively.

Utah Valley is scheduled to play again tomorrow night against crosstown rival BYU at home. The game will begin at 6 p.m. Mountain Time and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
