Utah Valley University announced on May 5 that six members of its women’s softball team have been named to the All-Western Athletic Conference (WAC) teams, setting a new program record for postseason honors.

The announcement highlights individual achievements and recognizes the contributions of these athletes during the season. These awards reflect both personal accomplishments and the team’s overall performance leading into the WAC Tournament.

Britney Moreno was named WAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and earned first team All-WAC honors. She set a new program single-season record with eight triples, ranking second in the nation entering this week, and achieved career highs in home runs, doubles, hits, runs, and RBIs. “Moreno set a new program single-season record for triples with eight — ranking second in the nation entering the week — while also setting new career highs in home runs, doubles, hits, runs, and RBIs,” according to Utah Valley University.

Tatum Hall joined Moreno on the first team after recording what is described as one of the best offensive seasons by a left-handed batter in program history. Ry Binne was recognized for her comeback season following an injury redshirt year by earning second team honors along with Lily Riley and Amber Rodriguez. Angelique Mann received All-Defensive Team accolades after playing every inning in center field for two consecutive seasons.

Riley led Utah Valley pitchers this year with a 3.77 earned run average (ERA), 15 wins—the third-most in school history—and became just the sixth pitcher at Utah Valley to reach 100 strikeouts in a season. Rodriguez contributed significantly both offensively—with 61 hits—and defensively by leading outfield assists.

The Wolverines are scheduled to begin their WAC Tournament campaign against Southern Utah Thunderbirds on Wednesday at 2 p.m., with coverage available via ESPN+. The recognition comes as momentum builds ahead of postseason play.
