The tournament will use a stroke play format with teams playing 36 holes on Monday starting at 8:00 a.m. PT and a final round of 18 holes on Tuesday beginning at 8:15 a.m. PT. Each team will field five players, with the top four scores counting toward the team total each round. Participating teams include Cal Baptist, CSU Northridge, Fresno State, Fullerton, Idaho, Nevada, Pacific, Sacramento State, Seattle, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, Utah State, and Utah Valley.

San Joaquin Country Club serves as the venue for the tournament. The par-71 course measures 7,051 yards from its longest tees and features elevation changes up to 60 feet. Players will face strategic approach shots and well-protected greens amid views of the San Joaquin River and Sierra Nevada mountains.

Utah Valley’s lineup for this week consists of Paxton Maxwell, Andrew Hawk, Colby Hutchens, JJ Tomsick, and Ty Brady.

In their previous outing at the Loyola Intercollegiate in Goodyear, Arizona, sophomore Paxton Maxwell achieved his fifth consecutive top-10 finish by tying for tenth place with a three-round score of nine-under-par 207 (65-71-71). His opening round score of seven-under-par 65 was the second-lowest single-round score in program history. The Wolverines finished tied for fifteenth out of twenty teams.

After The Watney Invitational concludes, Utah Valley will continue its spring season at the Bandon Dunes Championship in Oregon from March 8-10.
