Utah Valley finishes 15th at Bandon Dunes Championship led by Maxwell

Utah Valley finished in 15th place at the Bandon Dunes Championship, according to a March 10 report. Paxton Maxwell led the team with a three-round total of 5-over-par 218, tying for 40th on the individual leaderboard.

The tournament took place at Pacific Dunes in Bandon, Oregon, and featured a field of 96 players. Utah Valley posted an overall score of 35-over-par 887 across three rounds (284-301-302). Oregon State won the team title with a score of 31-under-par 821.

Other notable performances for Utah Valley included Ty Brady, who finished tied for 57th with a total score of 9-over-par 222 (72-73-77), and Colby Hutchens, who tied for 71st at 12-over-par 225 (69-79-77). Hutchens recorded Utah Valley’s lowest round of the tournament with an opening-round score of two-under-par 69.

Isaiah Ellis placed alone in 81st after shooting a final round of eight-over-par 79 to finish at fourteen-over-par for the event. Elliot Bond completed his tournament in ninety-first place with a three-round total of twenty-over-par.

Utah Valley is scheduled to compete next at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic from March 31 to April 1 at AK-Chin Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona.
