Utah Valley University’s baseball team will play the Utah Utes in a non-conference game at UCCU Ballpark on March 31. The first pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. Mountain Time, marking the first of three meetings between the teams this season.

The matchup is part of a series of games that highlights regional college baseball competition. Fans can watch Tuesday’s game on ESPN+ with commentary from Jordan Bianucci and Zach Burrows or listen to broadcasts on local radio stations and GoUVU.com.

In their previous series, Utah Valley won against Cal State San Bernardino, scoring a total of 30 runs over the final two games, both ending by run rule. Kaden Carpenter led the offense with five hits and five walks across the weekend, while DJ Massey hit his first career home run and posted a .636 on-base percentage. Mason Strong set a personal best with six RBIs in Sunday’s game, including his second career grand slam. On the mound, Jacob Heppner delivered six innings with one earned run allowed for his second strong outing in a row, and George Albrecht recorded three strikeouts over three innings in his first start.

The Utah Utes come into Tuesday’s contest holding a 15-10 overall record and are 5-4 in Big 12 conference play after rallying to win their recent series against Kansas State. Cameron Gurney leads their offense with a .406 batting average through 25 games, along with three home runs and 27 RBIs. Jake Long recently hit for the cycle against Kansas State and has contributed six home runs and leads the team with 32 RBIs while batting .392.

Following Tuesday’s game, Utah Valley will travel to Cal State Bakersfield for a three-game series starting April 2.
