Utah Valley baseball will host Cincinnati in a two-game series starting March 16 at UCCU Ballpark, according to a March 15 announcement. The Wolverines have won eight of their last ten games and are set to welcome a Power Four opponent for the first time since Washington State visited as a Pac-12 member in 2023.

The opening game is scheduled for Monday evening with a first pitch at 5:35 p.m. Mountain Time and will feature UVU’s Family Night, where the first 100 fans receive $1 hot dogs. The second game will take place Tuesday morning at 11:05 a.m. Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+, with Jordan Bianucci providing play-by-play and Brice Larson serving as analyst. Fans can also access an audio stream via GoUVU.com or the ESPN The Fan app, and live stats will be available online.

In their most recent outing, Utah Valley defeated Colorado Mesa 6-4. Jacob Heppner, Maddax Peck, and Aaron Rice pitched for the Wolverines, helping keep the team competitive after Colorado Mesa took an early lead. Hunter Katschke hit his fourth home run in ten games to give Utah Valley a sixth-inning lead, while DJ Massey, Mason Strong, and Brody Block contributed RBIs during a four-run seventh inning.

Cincinnati arrives in Orem with a record of 15-6 overall and 1-2 in Big 12 conference play after losing its conference-opening series to BYU over the weekend. The Bearcats’ offense is led by Quinton Coats, who is batting .360 with fourteen home runs and thirty-six RBIs this season. Coats ranks second nationally in home runs behind Georgia’s Daniel Jackson. Cincinnati stands eighth in total hits nationwide with five players hitting above .300.

Dillon Schueler is slated to start Monday’s game for Cincinnati. Schueler joined the Bearcats this season after earning second-team All-Missouri Valley honors at Illinois-Chicago last year. His longest appearance so far was two and two-thirds innings against UC San Diego; he also recorded four strikeouts versus Auburn.

Following this series, Utah Valley will travel to Stanford for a four-game road series beginning Saturday, March 21.
