Keegan Oyler, a former Utah Valley men’s soccer player and Meridian, Idaho native, has signed his first professional contract with AC Boise of USL League One. Oyler becomes the fifth active professional to emerge from the Utah Valley program.

Oyler made an impact in 2025 by leading the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) with eight assists while starting all 15 games for the Wolverines. He began the season as a wingback, recording all of his assists in that position before moving to centerback for the final five matches. After the season, he was named to both the second team All-Far West Region and second team All-WAC.

He contributed significantly to Utah Valley’s defensive record over the past two seasons. Oyler helped secure six consecutive shutouts at the start of one season—a WAC record—and played a role in achieving a league-best 1.11 goals-against average in 2024.

Oyler will join former teammate Omar Yehya at AC Boise, which is preparing for its inaugural season. The club was announced in October 2024 and revealed its name and branding in July. As Idaho’s first professional soccer team, AC Boise will play home games at Les Bois Park and is scheduled to debut on March 7 against Sarasota Paradise.

With Oyler’s signing, Utah Valley now has five alumni playing professionally: Oyler, Yehya—who signed with AC Boise last month—Jojea Kwizera, Zahir Vazquez, and Matt Gay. This marks the highest number of active professionals from the program since its inception twelve years ago.
