BYU gymnasts Brynlee Andersen-Broekman, Ava Jorgensen, and Scarlett Sonnenberg were named to the 2026 All-Big 12 teams, the conference announced on March 18.

The recognition highlights the achievements of these athletes during the season and reflects their performances among peers in the Big 12 Conference. The Freshmen Team was selected by head coaches, while other teams were determined by National Qualifying Score (NQS), recognizing the top six performers in each category.

Andersen-Broekman earned a spot on the All-Big 12 beam team for the second consecutive year. She achieved an NQS of 9.895, ranking No. 33 nationally and tying for second in the conference on beam. Competing on beam at every meet this season, she received Big 12 Event Specialist of the Week honors three times and posted a season-high score of 9.975 during BYU’s win at Clemson. Andersen-Broekman won nine individual event titles this season—eight on beam and one on floor.

Jorgensen secured her first All-Big 12 honor with a place on the bars team after earning an NQS of 9.865, tying for fifth in the conference on that apparatus. She recorded a career-high score of 9.900 twice this season and claimed three individual event titles on bars.

Sonnenberg competed as a true freshman in every meet this season across vault, beam, and floor events. Serving as lead-off for both beam and floor, she consistently improved throughout the year with career highs of 9.850 (vault), 9.925 (beam), and 9.900 (floor). Sonnenberg earned two event titles on beam and posted nine consecutive scores of at least 9.800 on that apparatus.

The Cougars will return to competition Saturday, March 21, facing Utah, Denver, and Arizona in the evening session of the Big 12 Gymnastics Championship at Maverik Center in West Valley City, Utah.
