We have eagerly anticipated the joyous celebrations of the Fourth of July and Pioneer Day. These events bring people together to commemorate the nation’s independence and honor the pioneer heritage of the region. Amidst the excitement, it’s crucial to prioritize firework safety, ensuring a memorable and accident-free experience for all.

As we revel in the festivities, it’s important to remember that safety should always be top priority. Fireworks can bring excitement and awe, but they also carry risks if not handled responsibly. To ensure a safe celebration, remember the four BE’s: BE Prepared, BE Responsible, BE Safe, and BE Aware

Firework safety is of utmost importance during these celebrations, as fireworks can pose significant risks if not handled responsibly. Over the past decade, Lehi has witnessed several incidents where fires were caused by fireworks. While the exact number may vary each year, it is essential to emphasize the importance of firework safety to prevent such incidents from occurring. To help ensure a safe environment during the firework celebrations, the Lehi Department has designated areas where you can observe or discharge fireworks on July 4th.  Those areas include:

Olympic Park- 2700 W Parkside Dr.

Sports Park- 2000 W 700 S

*You may discharge fireworks between the hours of 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on July 4th.

Please also be mindful of the firework sales and discharge dates below:

By following these guidelines and being mindful of the potential dangers, residents can contribute to a safer and accident-free celebration of the Fourth of July and Pioneer Day in Lehi. Let us come together as a community to ensure that these joyous occasions are remembered for their festivities and not marred by preventable accidents.
