How many patents granted in Orem in week ending July 2?

Patent 9

There were two patents granted in Orem in the week ending July 2, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This is three less than the week before. Patents included a simple single-step porous polymer monolith for dna extraction.

The earliest patent filed which was granted in the week ending July 2 belonged to US Synthetic Corporation who filed in January 4, 2019.

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
