2.1 percent of Brigham Young University-Provo students played sports on university teams in 2017-2018

In 2017-2018, 2.1 percent of Brigham Young University-Provo students participated in collegiate sports, according to data made available by the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES).

Brigham Young University-Provo has 31,441 undergraduate students, of which 50 percent are men and 50 percent are women, and a total student body of 34,499 students. Of these students, 375 men and 343 women represented the school by participating in one or more of the sports with teams at the school.

This total does not include students playing intramural sports.

According to NCES, 8.7 percent of students enrolled at institutions of higher education with sports teams were on teams.

The sports at Brigham Young University-Provo with the most participants are all track combined (282), football (129) and swimming and diving (65).
