Cost of college went up for all students at Mountainland Technical College

Tuition and fees rose 24.5 percent for 2018-19 at Mountainland Technical College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Utah students paid $585 to attend the two-year public institution this year – $115 more than the $470 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 32 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 65 students received grants or scholarships totaling $186,556 and 8 students took out student loans totaling more than $41,048.

Including all undergraduates (2,801), 828 students used grants or scholarships totaling $1.5 million.
