Cost of college went up for all students at the Aveda Institute-Provo

Tuition and fees rose 15.4 percent for 2018-19 at the Aveda Institute-Provo, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Utah students paid $15,000 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $2,000 more than the $13,000 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 66 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 24 students received grants or scholarships totaling $99,685 and 35 students took out student loans totaling more than $164,312.

Including all undergraduates (120), 75 students used grants or scholarships totaling $288,616, and 91 students took out $457,469 in federal student loans.
