64 percent of applicants to Brigham Young University-Provo were admitted for fall 2018

At Brigham Young University-Provo, 88 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 50 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Provo enrolled 34,499 students in fall 2018, including 31,441 in undergraduate and 3,058 in graduate programs, data shows. 2.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

33 percent of undergraduates are residents of Utah, and 64 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (81 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (6 percent).

The school admitted 64 percent of the 11,205 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 79 percent enrolled.
