On Saturday, March 7, former Lone Peak High basketball standout Shawnee Nordstrom took the court in California Baptist’s 77-61 win against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds.
The sophomore guard, who stands 5′6″, recorded nine points, five rebounds and a steal in 20 minutes played.
The No.24 men’s golf team was chosen as a No.4 seed for this year’s NCAA Athens Regional tournament beginning May 18 at University of Georgia Golf Course. Director Todd Miller and player Simon Kwon shared their outlook ahead of competition against top-ranked programs.
These ex-Utah County area high school standouts will participate in competitions on Saturday, May 16.
Utah Valley University’s track and field team won seven medals on day one of the WAC Outdoor Championships. Standout performances included golds from Emily Conlin and Morgan Nokes as well as several athletes advancing to Saturday’s finals.
