Ross Reeves, a former Orem High School star now playing for the Nova Southeastern Sharks, is set to compete in the Division II NCAA Basketball Tournament.
The Sharks have claimed a number one seed and will open the tournament against the No. 8 seed, the Morehouse Maroon Tigers.
The opening matchup is scheduled for Saturday, March 14 at 5 p.m. in Rick Case Arena.
Maria Jose ‘MJ’ Barragan ended day one of the NCAA Louisville Regional tied for sixth place after shooting three-under par with three birdies. Head coach Carrie Roberts credited recent adjustments in Barragan’s technique for her strong performance.
BYU women’s basketball has signed Australian player Prasayus Notoa for its 2026-27 roster. Head coach Lee Cummard praised her versatility on both ends of the court while Notoa expressed excitement about joining BYU.
Kihei Akina has been named Big 12 Freshman of the Year while Simon Kwon earned Second Team honors in men’s golf. Both players’ performances were recognized by conference officials following strong seasons.
