Shawnee Nordstrom, a former standout from Lone Peak High School, was on the court during the California Baptist Lancers’ 76-69 victory against the Abilene Christian Wildcats on Thursday, March 5.
The sophomore guard, listed at 5′6″, added three points, four assists and three steals over 38 minutes of play.
California Baptist is scheduled to face the Southern Utah Thunderbirds at home next, with tipoff set for Saturday, March 7 at 1 p.m.
Maria Jose ‘MJ’ Barragan ended day one of the NCAA Louisville Regional tied for sixth place after shooting three-under par with three birdies. Head coach Carrie Roberts credited recent adjustments in Barragan’s technique for her strong performance.
BYU women’s basketball has signed Australian player Prasayus Notoa for its 2026-27 roster. Head coach Lee Cummard praised her versatility on both ends of the court while Notoa expressed excitement about joining BYU.
