The BYU women’s tennis team announced on Mar. 31 that it will travel to Texas this week for two Big 12 Conference matches against ranked opponents, facing No. 38 Baylor on Thursday in Waco and No. 22 TCU on Saturday in Fort Worth.

These matchups are significant as the regular season nears its end and teams compete for positioning ahead of postseason play. The Cougars currently hold a record of 17-4 overall and are tied with Baylor at 6-3 in conference play, entering the weekend on a six-match win streak.

BYU has shown strong performances across both singles and doubles courts during its recent stretch, with Gracie Levelston and Kendall Kovick leading the doubles lineup at a national ranking of No. 58.

Baylor stands at an overall record of 10-6, also holding a conference mark of 6-3 but coming off two consecutive losses. The Bears have been competitive at home with a record of five wins and four losses this season.

Following Thursday’s contest in Waco, BYU will face TCU in Fort Worth on Saturday morning. The Horned Frogs have compiled an impressive overall record of 15-2 and lead the conference with an eight-win, one-loss tally in Big 12 matches while riding their own five-match win streak.

With these final regular season contests approaching, BYU aims to continue its momentum against ranked opposition as it prepares for potential postseason opportunities.
