No. 32 BYU lost to No. 22 TCU by a score of 4-0 on April 4 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

The match saw BYU competing closely across all courts, but several matches were left unfinished after TCU clinched the win early. In doubles play, TCU secured victories on courts two and three against Sage Bergeson and YuYun Chen (6-1), as well as Bella Lewis and Sue Yan Tan (6-2). The top doubles team of Kendall Kovick and Gracie Levelston was in a close contest at 4-3 before their match was halted.

During singles competition, Gracie Levelston trailed narrowly at No. 1 singles—down one set but tied in the second—when play stopped due to the overall result being decided. On court two, Kendall Kovick had taken her first set and was leading late into the second when her match also went unfinished.

Sue Yan Tan pushed her opponent to a close two-set match on court three but ultimately fell short with scores of 6-3, 7-5. YuYun Chen lost a competitive contest on court four (6-3, 6-4), while Sage Bergeson dropped her match on court five (6-4, 6-3). Bella Lewis was still playing when TCU clinched the victory.

With this loss, BYU moves to an overall record of 18 wins and five losses for the season as it prepares for its final Big 12 Conference matches at home.

Looking ahead, BYU will host Arizona State on Thursday, April 9 at noon Mountain Daylight Time and then face Arizona on Saturday, April 11 at the BYU Outdoor Tennis Courts.
