Maddie Passmore set a new school record in the triple jump for Utah Valley University on April 4, as the team finished competition at the UNLV Rebel ELITE, Mike Fanelli Track Classic, and Stanford Invitational.

Passmore surpassed her previous mark by achieving a personal best of 12.54 meters in the triple jump. She had matched the earlier school record of 12.26 meters just last week at the UVU Collegiate Invitational. In addition to her triple jump performance, Passmore also equaled her season best in the long jump with a leap of 5.98 meters.

The Wolverines secured five individual event wins during Saturday’s events. Neal Berkey achieved a personal best in the pole vault with a height of 4.85 meters, which ties him for eighth-best all-time at Utah Valley. Cayden Tupper and Elisabeth Ferrell won their respective titles in the men’s and women’s 1500-meter races in Las Vegas, recording times of 3:55.91 and 4:36.74.

Utah Valley’s men’s 4×100 relay team—composed of Garrett Nelson, Collin Petersen, Gavin Stafford, and Kade Thompson—recorded a time of 40.01 seconds that ranks ninth all-time for the university.

In other notable performances over the weekend, Bria Anderson posted top-10 times in both the women’s 400-meter dash (56.20 seconds) and Friday’s women’s 800-meter race.

Distance runners Wyatt Mortenson and Seth Smith earned top-10 finishes in San Francisco’s men’s 10,000-meter event with times of 30:05.99 (eighth place) and 30:15.70 (tenth place), while Mazee Southward recorded the fastest time overall in the women’s race at that distance with a finish of 35:13.80.

At Stanford, Grace Degarimore took first place overall in women’s shot put with a throw of 14.20 meters before finishing fourth in discus at 45.58 meters; Grace Williams and Emily Conlin finished second and third respectively in women’s pole vault with marks of 3.68 meters and 3.53 meters.

Utah Valley is scheduled to return to Utah for its next two meets hosted by Weber State on April 10 and by Utah on April 11.
