Koa Baker, who previously starred at Westlake High School, took the court Wednesday, February 25, as the Eckerd Tritons were defeated 92-72 by the Lynn Fighting Knights.
The senior guard, standing 6′5″, logged eight points, six rebounds and four assists during his 31 minutes on the floor.
Looking ahead, Baker and the Tritons will face the Barry Buccaneers at home on Saturday, February 28, at 4 p.m.
Maria Jose ‘MJ’ Barragan ended day one of the NCAA Louisville Regional tied for sixth place after shooting three-under par with three birdies. Head coach Carrie Roberts credited recent adjustments in Barragan’s technique for her strong performance.
BYU women’s basketball has signed Australian player Prasayus Notoa for its 2026-27 roster. Head coach Lee Cummard praised her versatility on both ends of the court while Notoa expressed excitement about joining BYU.
Kihei Akina has been named Big 12 Freshman of the Year while Simon Kwon earned Second Team honors in men’s golf. Both players’ performances were recognized by conference officials following strong seasons.
