Jake Wahlin, the standout forward and former Timpview High School athlete, participated in the Clemson Tigers’ 80-75 victory over the Louisville Cardinals on Saturday, Feb. 28.
The 6-foot-10 junior forward tallied seven points, collected two rebounds and added one assist in his 14 minutes on the court.
Looking ahead, Wahlin and the Tigers will face the North Carolina Tar Heels on the road on Tuesday, March 3, at 7 p.m.
Maria Jose ‘MJ’ Barragan ended day one of the NCAA Louisville Regional tied for sixth place after shooting three-under par with three birdies. Head coach Carrie Roberts credited recent adjustments in Barragan’s technique for her strong performance.
BYU women’s basketball has signed Australian player Prasayus Notoa for its 2026-27 roster. Head coach Lee Cummard praised her versatility on both ends of the court while Notoa expressed excitement about joining BYU.
Kihei Akina has been named Big 12 Freshman of the Year while Simon Kwon earned Second Team honors in men’s golf. Both players’ performances were recognized by conference officials following strong seasons.
