Utah Valley redshirt sophomore forward Jackson Holcombe has been named a finalist for the 2025–26 Lou Henson Award, according to a March 13 announcement. The award is presented each year to the top mid-major player in Division I men’s basketball.
Holcombe’s recognition comes after a standout season in which he earned First Team All-Western Athletic Conference and WAC All-Defensive Team honors. He led the Wolverines in several key categories, including scoring with an average of 15.6 points per game, rebounding at 7.3 per game, steals with 71, blocks with 41, and double-doubles with eight. He also ranked second on the team in assists with 113 over the course of 31 games.
Nationally, Holcombe is among the leaders in multiple statistical areas. He ranks No. 13 in total steals and No. 14 in steals per game at 2.29. His field-goal percentage stands at .541, placing him No. 72 nationally, while his rebounding average ranks him No. 125 across Division I.
Holcombe and Utah Valley are set to begin postseason play tonight as they face No. 4 seed UT Arlington in the semifinal round of the Air Force Reserve WAC Tournament at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. Pacific Time, with live coverage available on ESPN+ and on radio via the Wolverine Sports Network on ESPN The Fan.
