Cailee Faulkner set a new school record in the pole vault with a clearance of 4.33 meters (14 feet, 2.5 inches) at the Pacific Coast Invitational held at Jack Rose Track in Long Beach, Calif., according to an April 16 announcement.

Faulkner’s achievement moves her from sixth place on the school’s all-time list to holding the top spot. She surpassed the previous shared record of 4.32 meters (14 feet, 2 inches) held by Rebekah Erikson and Maren Garnett. Faulkner finished more than a quarter meter ahead of her nearest competitor and improved her season best by 0.13 meters. This victory marks her sixth win this season when including indoor competitions.

Other notable performances included Zoey Bonds winning the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 13.26 seconds, which is now ranked as the fifth-best mark in program history. Lia Pili earned eighth place in shot put with a throw of 15.48 meters (50 feet, 9.5 inches), securing her first spot on the program’s all-time list at No.7.

Mae Johnson tied for fifth place in high jump after clearing a height of 1.68 meters (5 feet, 6 inches). This marks Johnson’s third top-five finish during this outdoor season.
