CSU Pueblo falls to Black Hills State 3-2 in Division II softball on Feb. 28

The CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves, featuring former Maple Mountain High School standout Lydia Tibbals, were narrowly defeated by the Black Hills State Yellow Jackets, 3-2, in their NCAA Division II softball matchup on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m.

Rawlings Softball Complex was the venue for the game, marking the teams’ second meeting this season. In their earlier Saturday, Feb. 28 game, the ThunderWolves claimed a 6-2 win over the Yellow Jackets.

Tibbals notched one hit in three plate appearances.

CSU Pueblo’s next game is set for Sunday, March 1, at 11 a.m., where they will again face Black Hills State at Rawlings Softball Complex.
