This nursing home is classified as a for-profit establishment.

The overall CMS rating for Spanish Fork Rehabilitation and Nursing during the period was 3, which falls below Utah’s average nursing home rating of 3.4. CMS bases its ratings on factors like health inspections, staffing ratios, and the level of care delivered to residents.

Data indicates the facility provided care to an average of 44.2 residents each day in the first quarter of 2026, with 45 total beds available. The nursing home currently operates within a hospital.

Spanish Fork Rehabilitation and Nursing incurred $69,083 in fines over two incidents and received three penalties in the first quarter of 2026.

There were 11 for-profit nursing homes in Utah County, Utah, during that reporting period.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates show that the older adult population is rising while younger age groups are getting smaller. Between 2020 and 2024, Americans age 65 and older grew in number by 13%, while the population under 18 declined 1.7%. Over the past hundred years, the country’s older adult population has surged from 4.9 million in 1920 to more than 61 million in 2024.

A 2021 analysis suggests close to half of older Americans, about 28 million, may require long-term services and supports. The report also estimates that more than one-third could eventually need nursing home care.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
