BYU women’s volleyball head coach Rob Neilson announced on May 11 the signing of transfer setter Kaylie Kofe.
Kofe, a junior from Idaho Falls, Idaho, joins BYU after playing two seasons at Utah State. She helped the Aggies achieve their first NCAA Tournament win since 2001 last year.
During her time at Utah State, Kofe was named the 2025 Mountain West Player of the Year and became USU’s first-ever conference player of the year in volleyball. She also received AVCA All-American Honorable Mention and was selected for the AVCA All-West Region Team. Last season, she averaged 11.08 assists per set, leading her league and ranking fourth nationally. Her total of 1,330 assists was fifth most in a single season at Utah State.
Kofe distinguished herself as the only player in the nation to record over 60 assists in three matches and one of just five players to do so in a four-set match. She led her team with eleven double-doubles and had nineteen matches with forty or more assists.
In addition to her athletic achievements, Kofe earned CSC Academic All-District honors and Academic All-Mountain West recognition in 2025. In high school at Bonneville High School, she led Idaho in assists all four years with her team.
Kofe will join Kylie Buttars, Brooke Hardy, and Rachel Jepsen as part of BYU’s 2026 signing class this summer.
