The BYU women’s tennis team, ranked No. 45 nationally, will return home to face Cincinnati and West Virginia in Big 12 conference play at the Indoor Tennis Courts in Provo, according to a March 10 announcement.

The upcoming matches are important for BYU as the team seeks its first Big 12 win of the season after starting conference play with three losses. The Cougars have performed well at home this year, holding a perfect 4-0 record in Provo and an overall record of 11-4.

BYU will open the weekend against Cincinnati on Thursday. The Bearcats arrive with a 6-5 overall record and are currently 1-3 in Big 12 play. Cincinnati has lost its last three matches and holds a road record of 1-2 this season.

On Saturday, BYU will take on West Virginia. The Mountaineers also have a 6-5 overall record but are winless in conference play at 0-4. West Virginia has been strong at home with five wins but has struggled away from Morgantown, posting a road record of just one win and three losses.

Both matches will be held at BYU’s Indoor Tennis Courts. The match against Cincinnati is scheduled for Thursday, March 12 at noon MDT, while the contest against West Virginia will take place on Saturday, March 14 at 10 a.m. MDT.

As the Cougars look to rebound from their early conference setbacks, these two home games present an opportunity to improve their standing within the Big 12.
