No. 29 BYU women’s tennis will begin its Big 12 Conference season this week with away matches against UCF and Houston. The Cougars, holding an 11-1 record, are set to play UCF on Thursday, Feb. 26 in Orlando, Florida at 4 p.m. MST, followed by a match against Houston on Saturday, Feb. 28 in Houston, Texas at 12 p.m. MST.

BYU starts conference play on a nine-match winning streak. The team has achieved a perfect record at home (4-0), on the road (5-0), and has only one loss at a neutral site against San Diego earlier in the season.

Houston enters the matchup with BYU undefeated at 9-0 for the season, having also won nine consecutive matches. The team has performed well both at home (4-0) and away (5-0).

UCF comes into Thursday’s contest with a 7-1 overall record. The Knights have not lost at home this year (3-0) and have matched that success on the road while splitting two matches played at neutral sites.

All three teams are starting their Big 12 Conference schedules this weekend.
