BYU women’s golf will participate in the Betsy Rawls Invitational at UT Golf Club in Austin, Texas on March 16-17.
The tournament is significant as it brings together a field of 16 teams, providing BYU with an opportunity to compete against strong programs from across the country. The event follows BYU’s recent appearance at the Lady Luck Invitational, where the team finished 12th and Maria Jose “MJ” Barragan tied for 15th place.
Teams joining BYU include host Texas, Troy, UTSA, Oklahoma, LSU, Boise State, TCU, Arkansas, Harvard, Chattanooga, Pepperdine, Sam Houston, Incarnate Word, Houston Christian and Oregon State. The competition will take place on a 6,473-yard course.
BYU’s lineup features seniors Lily McCauley and Berlin Long—who will be making her first start of the spring season—juniors Whitney Banz and Barragan and sophomore Kanyanol (Naji) Aramkul. The Cougars are scheduled to begin play Monday morning at 7:30 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard with updates provided through Instagram and X.
The tournament offers BYU another chance to test its roster against national competition as the spring season continues.
