Brigham Young University’s women’s 800-meter squad competed at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track & Angell Field on April 4, with several athletes recording top finishes and personal bests.
The meet was notable for strong performances across multiple sections of the event. Tessa Buswell finished fifth in the invitational section, posting a time of 2:02.39—just shy of her outdoor personal record—and now ranks eighth in BYU history for the event.
In the second section, Krystie Solomon-Jensen secured first place with a time of 2:05.38, while Kylie Olsen followed closely in second with a time of 2:06.46. Anne Elise Packard competed in the third section and achieved a new outdoor best of 2:06.72 to take second place.
The fourth section saw Carlee Hansen-Thompson finish second with a career-best time of 2:05.57, Carmen Alder come in third at 2:05.92, and Taylor Rohatinsky clocking another personal record at 2:06.77.
Looking ahead, BYU is scheduled to compete next at the Utah Spring Open on April 10-11, with events hosted by Weber State on Friday and Utah on Saturday.
