The BYU men’s track and field team will participate in three separate meets during the upcoming weekend, according to an April 8 announcement. The Cougars are scheduled to compete at the Brian Clay Multis in Azusa, California on April 9-10, the Weber State Spring Open in Ogden on April 10, and the Utah Spring Classic in Salt Lake City on April 11.

The events offer athletes opportunities to compete across multiple disciplines. At the Brian Clay Multis, Ben Barton and Kaden Passey will take part in different sections of the Decathlon. Their events include sprints, jumps, throws, and distance races over two days.

At the Weber State Spring Open, throwers Erik Bryant, Mark Bryant, and Tyler Poole will enter discus competitions. Erik Bryant is also set for the hammer throw event. Sprinters Logan Hubler and Ty Oustrich will run in the 400-meter dash while Hayden Gribble and Connor Saunders are scheduled for high jump.

For the Utah Spring Classic meet on April 11, throwers along with hurdles specialists will represent BYU. The Bryant brothers and Poole are entered into shot put competitions once again. Gribble is listed for javelin throw while Hubler plans to race in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles.

These consecutive competitions provide athletes with chances to qualify for future meets or improve their personal bests as they progress through their season.
