BYU football completed its final spring practice on April 2 at the Indoor Practice Facility in Provo, Utah. The team held a total of 15 practices as it began preparations for the upcoming 2026 season.

The conclusion of spring practices marks an important step for BYU as it looks to build momentum and integrate new players who joined the squad in January. These athletes had their first experience with Cougar football during this period.

Head coach Kalani Sitake, along with defensive coordinator Kelly Poppinga and offensive coordinator Aaron Roderick, addressed members of the media following Thursday’s practice to reflect on the team’s progress during spring training.

Looking ahead, BYU is set to host its annual Alumni Game at LaVell Edwards Stadium tomorrow at 6 p.m. Mountain Time. This event will provide fans an opportunity to reconnect with former players and see how current team members are shaping up for the new season.

As preparations continue, coaches and players will use insights gained from these spring sessions to guide their approach into summer workouts and fall camp.
