Brigham Young University finished its participation at the NCAA Zone E Championships on March 11 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
The event marked the end of the Cougars’ diving season at the zone level, with both men’s and women’s teams represented. The competition is a key qualifier for athletes aiming to advance to national championships.
In the men’s 1-meter diving event, Martí Llop led BYU by placing 13th in both preliminaries and finals, scoring 299.40 and 291.15 respectively. Ashton Sparks also competed in the same event, finishing 26th with a total score of 252.90.
On the women’s side, Brooklyn Goeckeritz participated in the platform event and earned a score of 212.95, which placed her 22nd overall.
Looking ahead, BYU swimmer Tanner Nelson is set to compete at the NCAA National Championships scheduled for March 25-28.
